10 Strange Species Discovered Last Year

Cool beans.

Way better than reading about Obama quoting from the Koran... oops, I meant Quran. That isn't a hate crime, is it? It isn't easy to be an Infidel in one of the largest Muslim nations in the world.

  1. That's some bug!

I think that slow loris is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I wish I had one.

But the Malaysian gastropod... I think it might be my dryer vent tubbing. ha

    And "AquaNet" bacteria...lol

    Hey, great post Infidel!

  2. All these strange insects: Gotta be the climate change...caused by American infidels driving gas guzzling suv's.

    Allah be with you!

  3. Ananda Girl: Egads! It is a bug that would freak me out for sure.

The slow loris is cute, but they make terrible pets. They have nasty teeth and habitually mark their territory with urine.

BTW I just nicknamed my daughter Lauren, loris. She's not amused.

  7. Those are all really cool discoveries!

Surely they're more interesting than hearing about how tolerant Islam is.

  9. we have walking sticks here that are as big around as your pinky and six to seven inches long - they thrive on blackberry leaves and are harmless otherwise.

  10. Once when the science wizards came to where I work I got to hold a walking stick, but it was much smaller, only about 8 inches long.

I liked it better than holding the baby crock... it peed on me. ha

Tell your daughter that I said that loris is a name for a cutie.

    wow... verification word is
    "wrzopkie".

  11. Awesome, when I was a kid, my grandparent's house would often have stick bugs on the windows from time to time. I was fascinated! Nature is amazing....

  13. Hey, very nice site. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing.
