Supra-Microwable Ants

Really cool discussion about how ants are able to survive being microwaved.

Turns out, if you want to exterminate any stray ants in your microwave (ewww), get yourself a microwave with a turntable.

DaBlade: I've never had ants in my microwave, but once they did invade my coffeemaker. Goodness knows why, but it was a ghastly sight. The coffeemaker was promptly tossed out.

    Chuck: :-) Works for me.

Jan: Preface it by saying, "I have a bizarre and interesting story to share with you tonight." ;-)

  12. I have the same problem when I'm trying to melt a small amount of butter. it's very difficult to place it where the microwaves hit.
