I don't understand how shooting someone wearing a hoodie who is bashing in your head is a hate crime, but this is not. They were bored and decided to shoot an innocent man who was jogging and was not a danger to them.
I don't like the idea of a hate crime. I think all crime is based on hate and all should be treated equally under the law, but if you're going to have marches and all manner of attention-magnet get-togethers, then you certainly need to include this horrific case.
The definition of hate crime is "white on black" crime. This particular story does not advance the democrat/media agenda and so it must be roundly ignored. Maybe the bicyclist "acted stupidly"?

Sue Hanes: My point was a bit sarcastic. I don't think the president should've involved himself in the Zimmerman case at all. It's just not his place. He only did so because the victim was black.
I heard this on the radio this morning and thought I had just heard it wrong. They were BORED?? There is no punishment too great for this crime.
