Someone tried to give my son a turtle once and this is what I imagined it would be like. So I politely turned it down. Pets should be furry or at least featherly.

Diego doesn't run around loose biting pets or people. He has a terrarium with lights that allow for basking in the 'sun'. He's quite entertaining in his poky way.
Z: Yes, we did and they were fabulous. Of course, with my mother-in-law's recipe, we knew we couldn't go wrong.
The only ingredient we left out was the ground mahleb, but it isn't necessaryas she's made it many times without it.
She taught us the techniques, and although it was time intensive, it wasn't as hard as we imagined it would be. Certainly worth the time and effort.
Aesthetically, ours weren't as pretty as my MIL's were, but they were just as tasty. We made 48 and our freezer is full in time for Easter, but the best part is, now we can make them anytime we want.
My MIL took home a recipe for a big braided choreg loaf that she's planning to cut like bread and then toast. That should be interesting.
Sue Hanes: Relatively, that's true. Schrodinger's Cat would exist in a state where it would be bitten by the turtle and not being bitten by the turtle simultaneously until someone observes the act.
I'm teasing. Schrodinger's cat is just a thought experiment of quantum superpositions that occurs at the atomic level.
