When Birds Attack

Dive-Bombing Birds Attacking Houston Neighborhood

My mother saw a bird swoop down on and peck me on the head and she laughed so hard that she cried.

  1. I still have nightmares from the Rebecca du Maurier short story. Alfred Hitchcock's movie was quite mild in comparison. But being attacked by birds is a traumatic.

  2. Cube - That is hilarious. Were you near her nest and was she protecting her babies?

It reminds me of The Birds - the Alfred Hitchcock movie.

  3. Jan: You're right. Hitchcock could've made "The Birds" much scarier. I've seen them go after my cats, too.

  4. Sue Hanes: My mom thought so, too. She said the look on my face was priceless. She was just showing me some plants in her yard and we got a little too close to her nest. In retrospect I think it's funny, but it wasn't at the time. It hurt.

  5. I loved the movie The Birds. A lot. I just want them to poop on me.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  7. Sandee: You want them to poop on you? Is that reverse psychology? Birds can be contrary. I say that because my friend and I were walking home from school one day and there was a bird perched on a wire overhead. I asked Mr. Bird not to poop on us and so did my friend. We crossed under the wire and sure enough, the bird pooped. We laughed all the way home.

  8. Woodsterman (Odie): We have a lot of birds in our area, but I've only seen mockers, blue jays, and crows swooping. Bats will swoop down on your head, too.
