Awww And Ewww

Your Vegetarian Hot Dog May Contain Meat ... And Human DNA

I can see a little meat in a veggie dog, but human DNA?

  1. I once read what the researchers found in hot dogs...so I gave up reading about them.

  2. Yeah, I read those reports, too, but human DNA? If this is true, that's a new one on me.

  4. Sandee: As a New York person, I grew up eathing Nathin's Coney Island dogs. I'm not seeing them on the list. I'm going for Hebrew National dogs in the future. Is there nothing scared in this world anymore?

  6. now this is a disgustingly new low in food safety in the good ol' USA.
I have not eaten a hot dog in years- now I know why. We always buy locally grown food-whether it be veggies fruit or meat. If I don't know the farmer/rancher I go without.
    ThANKS FOR THE HEADS UP!

  8. I stick with Hebrew National (even though I'm not a Jew). But I don't eat them all that often.

I wonder if Planned Parenthood is providing by-products to hot dog manufacturers? Soylent Green...

  9. This blog is making me thirsty! Please repeat that in your head in every Seinfeld character voice. Whatever you do, please no posts disparaging donuts, for then I would have nowhere to turn for comfort.

  10. Kathe W.: I grew up in New York. It's in my DNA to love hot dogs... I just didn't know hot dog love involved other people's DNA.

  11. Messymimi: I love hot dogs. Maybe that's why I'm a twisted polyhedron ;)

  12. LL: I recently switched from Nathan's to Hebrew National because of price at my supermarket. I'm a Roman Catholic, but I'm sure it's not against the law to eat them outside of your religion.
