This is what can happen if you provoke a nurse shark:
Provoked, Nurse Shark Bites Florida Woman And Won't Let Go
I caught a baby shark some years ago and was carefully taking it off the hook when my daughter asked to hold it. I handed it to her and it squirmed. I reached out to keep it from falling out of her hands when it flipped over and bit my finger. Luckily it didn't latch on and I was able to set it back into the water.
I guess I provoked it.
Don't mess with things in the deep. They can be enjoyed without messing with them.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad she's okay, but it's a shame the shark died.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
Yet another unpleasant creature we don't have out here.
ReplyDeleteI do feel bad when a creature dies just for protecting itself.
The lady was obviously not an attorney. They don't get bitten. Professional courtesy.
ReplyDeleteLL should get an aware for best comment. LOL!
ReplyDeleteCube - Shame on you for provoking a baby shark. Glad you were able to get it back in the water - where it will grow up and bite someone else.
ReplyDeleteAnything provoked will bite, unfortunately, even if only verbally.
ReplyDeleteSandee: Good advice.
ReplyDeleteJan: Yes, I'm sorry about the shark, too. It truly was provoked by friends of the bitten girl. They were tugging at its tail.
ReplyDeleteLL: Lol.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie: I agree.
ReplyDeleteSue Hanes: I think the shark provoked me. I didn't ask it to bite my fishing line. I was trying to free it because he was too small to keep. It's the law.
ReplyDeleteMessymimi: True.
