I hated the home-made caramel apples. I hated the sandwiches that were offered more. They were usually tuna or peanut butter and honey. This was trick-or-treating in the country at a time that nobody considered that people would try to slide a razor blade into the caramel apple or poison a sandwich to kill a child. I liked the candy bars, the Pixie Sticks, and the wax vampire teeth.
My problem is sugar is my drug of choice, so even if it doesn't taste that good, if it's the only sugar around, i'd eat it. That's why i had to give it up.
Kid: You too? I'm eating some candy corn as I type. They're not my favorite, but I usually eat some around Halloween. I'll be sure and refrain from handing them out on Halloween.
What Halloween candy did I hate? Let's see... that would be Candy Corn. Yuk.
