Mrs. Manhattan?

From the Separated At Birth department:

New bust of Hillary:

Superhero, Dr. Manhattan:

Wonkette has a funny take on the eerie similarities here .

What was the sculptor thinking?

I add my own "EWWWWWWWW" to the chorus.

  3. This is brought to us from Daniel Edwards. The same guy who made the hideous 'Brittney Spears giving birth on a bearskin rug' sculpture.

I guess hideous monstrosities are his speciality.

  5. eyes: I think she's flattered by it from the neck down ;-)

nanc: there is enough neck on that statue for 2 hills.

BTW one funny person commented on how the horns were missing ;-)

  6. He should've made her look more like the comic book Banshee... Heh.

  7. Eeewwww - indeed!

I've never seen Hillary without her clothes on: do her breasts really look exactly like the Superhero's?

  8. Is it just me, or does her sculpted face look disarmingly like Jimmy Carter?

  9. brooke: yes, Banshee would be a perfect match.

caz: that is something I'm perfectly happy to never, ever have to know. It would sear my eyeballs!

david: nowthat you mention it, it does have a Jimmuh mouth.

  10. Ok, the hair looks like Hillary, the face looks like my grandma when she's seen something distasteful (like this bust), the neck looks Cardassian and it all tops off a pair of veiny looking granite boobs? I hope this artist never makes a statue of anyone I actually care about, that would make me cry.

  11. Bill cheated on THAT?!

Seriously, I really didn't need to see Hill's rack.

  12. Seriously, this post is giving me nightmares. This isn't remotely hillary from the neck down. Below the neck it's a fantasmagorical creation of a very disturbed individual.

  13. jen: OK, the neck does look vaguely Cardiassian-like, but I never met your grandmother, so I can't speak for that ;-)

I don't want this guy to ever work again. His work is just butt-ugly.

  14. mcf: I thought I'd get a Watchman comment out of you since you're the resident superhero expert here.

  15. I heard that this bust of Hillary is supposed to show off her sexuality. I just don't see that at all. I'd say the bust is a bust.

  16. j.d.: you've made the most descriptive pun :-)

  17. I think the sculptor did a pretty good job of capturing her eternal look of disappointment. That's how she strikes me, anyhow.

  18. Such is the life of a woman married to Mr. Pantload himself.

  19. Sorry, I would have flipped through my copy of Watchmen for an appropriate reference, but I was still blind from trying to gouge out my mind's eye. :)
