Mea Culpa...Not!

The same authorities that caught the Lebanese photographer, Adnan Hajj, who doctored images of the aftermath of an Israeli air strike in Beirut to make them appear darker here, have found out that the image of a white cat on The BLOG was altered to appear as though it wore a red shirt in support of USA troops.

[The BLOG note: we stand behind all photoshopped photos that appear on this blog, and we do not apologize for any photoshopped photos that appear on this blog.]

  1. Is this the same photographer that made Oprah look skinny on the cover of People magazine?

  4. Everything should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Remember Time magazine making OJ look more sinister? Or back in October 2005, USA Today made Condy Rice's eyes look she was a Gou'ald host?

  5. OJ is sinister - and still roaming free.

  6. I, for one, beleive that The Blog is innocent in this horrific breach of justice, and I will take it upon myself to find the true perpetrator if I have to search every golf course between here and Florida.

  7. cary: thanks for the unimpeachable show of solidarity on this most pressing issue, but I do want to warn you about golf courses frequented by OJ... you never know when he will snap again. Watch your back!

As far as image manipulation by the media goes, I'd like to know when did freedom of the press become freedom of the press to lie?

  9. brooke: al-Cubezeera? I don't whether to be flattered or madder than a wet hen...

Well, since The BLOG isn't a journalistic organization, and has never pretended to be, I think I'll just let it slide... this once... ;-)

    BTW Cube-BS would've worked too.
