Medicare To Cover Prescription Handguns?
OK, I admit that I thought this was a joke when I first read it. How much of a deterrent is something that looks like an asthma inhaler?
And, it's only capable of shooting one 9mm bullet.

I'd rather have a revolver, but then again, I don't have arthritis. I do believe we all have the right to defend ourselves from the bad guys.

ReplyDeleteIf I were an old, infirmed person who had difficulty operating a gun, maybe I'd want a stockpile of these things. Otherwise, I'd take my chances with a revolver.
Reminds me of the stamped single shot "pistol" (called the Liberator IIRC) that wasproduced in the tens of thousands and dropped behind the lines in occupied europe during the "Big One, WWII"
ReplyDeleteThe grip contained ten loose rounds of .45 ACP and one had to manually chamber each round, manually cock it, shoot, knock out the empty and, well, one gets the idea...
They also had a graphic one page instruction manual.
The Nazi's (real ones now, not the fanciful imaginings of lazy leftard "thinkers" of today), would retaliate against those found with them ( or German hardware) with stunning brutality.
Better than nothing. And if you are wise you go for your knife before your "target" realizes what happened.

it isn't a joke!? If Medicare covers this, I'm writing to the State of California and demanding they pay for a gun for ME. If they don't, it's age discrimination, RIGHT? !!!

ReplyDeleteUPDATE: I just heard on FOX this morning that the FDA has backed off from allowing Medicare to pay for this for seniors and the disabled.
