Golf Cat Blog Friday
For this Cat Blog Friday...

Obama Plays More Golf Than Bush Did In Two Terms
I agree with golf cat. Live on the golf course, BO ;-)

Every Day Is Earth Day
I found this short, but timely piece in the American Thinker by a recovering liberal...
Why I Am Enlarging My Carbon Footprint
Better late than never, Robin. Now turn down the A/C on your way out ;-)

The Day Einstein Died
Albert Einstein died 55 years ago, on April 18, 1955, of heart failure at age 76.
Only one photographer managed to capture the events of that extraordinary day: LIFE magazine's Ralph Morse, but his pictures were never published until now.
Exclusive: The Day Einstein Died
Fascinating.

Eyjafjallajokull's Scream
Iceland Volcano From Space: The 'Nightmarish Face' Seen From Above
This caught my eye over the weekend:
"The radar image of the volcanic crater appears to show a nightmarish face, which is reminscent of Edvard Munch's painting 'The Scream.' Coincidentally, it is thought that the masterpiece was inspired by the blood red skies caused by the powerful volcanic eruption of Krakatoa in 1883.
In his diary Mr Munch wrote: 'I was walking along a path with two friends - the sun was setting - suddenly the sky turned blood red - I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence - there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city - my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety - and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.'
Today reports of Eyjafjallajokull's impact are varied and we can only hope the least damaging one is correct in the end. Only time will tell.

Bad Day x 1347
A pitbull was in his backyard in southern California , minding his own business, when a porcupine invaded his territory. The brave pit bull immediately challenged the porcupine!
Bad decision... The porcupine won this short contest.
A vet sedated the dog and then removed a total of 1,347 quills. The dog survived and has, hopefully, learned a valuable lesson.
Now, tell me you had a bad day!

Cat Blog Friday
For this Cat Blog Friday...
... a cat in space. Why space? Because once Obama is done "redefining" NASA, everyone else will be in space, including cats, before the USA.
Obama Speech Redefines NASA Plans, Experts Say
Way to hobble our space program.

Violent Libs?
Photo Of Jindal Campaign Aide After Attack Published On Governor's Facebook Page
I don't know whether the attack on Gov. Jindal's campaign aide and her boyfriend as they left a Republican fundraiser at a New Orleans restaurant was politically motivated or not, but the fact that it hasn't raised a peep in the MSM implies that they don't consider it worth reporting or investigating.
Imagine the ruckus if it had been a democrat governor's aide...
Even a story about false allegations of racial slurs has more legs than this one.
Yeah.

Sneaky Down Time
A plethora of bad news comes out everyday about Obama, but this article caught my eye in particular:
Obama Attends Nonexistent Soccer Game?
What is going on here? Where is the press? Where was the Secret Service?
Be afraid, people. This can't be good.

Oxymoron
Boy is this the truth!
If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great
Test!
Lot of truth here!
If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".
Well I forwarded it to you so where does that put me?

Closing Time
I never thought this day would come so soon, but I must report that The BLOG is closing up shop.
I just can't continue to find the time that I feel every post deserves and, rather than provide an inferior product, I believe that it's best to just end it all right here and now.
Take care fellow bloggers and may your blogging fare better than mine.
