One Cat's Day
A cat's movement for one day recorded via GPS.
We put out food for strays. Two come by regularly (along with a baby possum) and now we have some idea where they go when they're not at our house.
After my initial post, I did a little research and found this interesting article:
Secret Life Of The cat: The Science Of Tracking Our Pets
Fascinating.

Cat Blog Friday
For this Cat Blog Friday...
... a cat who keeps putting it's paws in the air and they can't figure out why.
Here's the story:
This Cat Keeps Putting Its Paws In The Air And Nobody Knows Why
I know why... 'cause he just don't care. 😀
Happy Friday, everybody!

Eric Ciaramella
FOX News ORDERS Hosts And Contributors NOT To Identify Anti-Trump CIA Whistleblower Eric Ciaramella
Fox News has been going down the rabbit hole for years and this really cements their drop into the alphabet news territory.
I'm not a "journalist" so it's safe for me to tell you this about Eric:
And the democrats think his testimony is enough to impeach a sitting President?
This is no way to run a government.

Cubular Poop
Cubular poop you ask? Yes, the wombat is the only creature on Earth that produces cube-shaped poop.
Why Is Wombat Poop Cube-shaped?
In the past, we thought that the wombat produced cubic poop as a result of its diet and long digestion. The cubic poop was the perfect shape for marking territory by sitting on top of rocks and logs as it didn't roll away. Poop, scientists thought, can be clever, too.
Now thanks to researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology, Patricia Yang, scientists believe it may have more to do with an irregularly shaped intestine unique to wombats.
I must leave you with this quote from Patricia Yang: "Cubes are very rare in nature. We currently have only two methods to manufacture cubes,” she said, explaining that humans either mold cubes from soft materials, or cut them from harder objects.
“Wombats have a third way.”
I found this post fascinating.

Predator As Prey
The Predator That Makes Great White Sharks Flee In Fear
Forget what you've seen in the movies, scientists have observed many instances of great white sharks hustling out of the way of killer whale pods, aka orcas, lest they risk losing their lives and their livers.
Apparently, orcas enjoy great white shark livers with a little Chianti. Science is still out on whether they like fava beans. 😉
Truth is, the orcas kill great white sharks and many other sharks for their livers and leave the rest of the carcass to wash up on shore.
Just when you think you know Shamu, he turns out to be way more complicated that you thought.
