President Reagan lived at a different moment of history than President Trump does. During President Reagan's terms there was a collegial relationship with the Democrat Leadership. That was before Democrats became the purveyors of grievances (from racism and islamophobia to the various and sundry sexual grievances). There was still a decency in DC - after the fashion of President Reagan's day. That is not the case today. President Trump tweets because he needs to have a mechanism to get things out. The media declared war on him and he faces RINO's and Dems who would literally rip his skin off with their fingernails if they could get away with it.
Both Presidents had/have the goal of shrinking the size of government and making America great. Both will be revered as historically relevant.
We had 8 glorious years of Reagan, who got a lot done despite the opposing party controlling House and Senate, and policies that led to the greatest peacetime expansion of our economy. We've had a really good year under Trump.
This is a question that only the future looking back will answer. In the meantime, I hope Trump keeps going full steam ahead with conservative principles and policies. Unlike Reagan, Trump is not a core conservative ideologue. This is not a knock agst Trump, just truth. If he starts veering left (a $Trillion infrastructure plan? Amnesty for 1.8 million?) then he needs to told to stop doing that. Reagan went directly to the people. I believe the people need to go directly to Trump to keep him on track (and not just mindless cheerleading).

I like them both too. I've learned to hate most of the media, Hollyweird, many politicians on the left and the list goes on and on.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
i have a friend who thinks BO is the best prez since FDR. No point in correcting her.
What LL said. Somehow I think President Trump may get more done. Though winning the cold war was no trifle.
Primary out the Rino's ! Tar and Feather the rest ! Release the Hounds !
Jan, you might ask your friend what she thinks bho spent 18 trillion on because it sure wasn't America. Naw... forget it.

My worry is those who rewrite history. No matter how great a time is, some will find ways to drag it down.
Common sense prevails for me!
