The vuvuzelas are the only thing keeping the crowd awake. The USA vs. UK match took 95 minutes to reach a score of 1-1. That's the problem I have with soccer. I much prefer playing it to watching it.
Brooke: Watching soccer is like watching paint dry. I used to watch baseball, but nowadays I have no patience for any sport but football.
Z: The vuvus will never be banned by the PC weenies.
Woman Honor Thyself: Yeah, like the kid who kept falling asleep at one of Obama's recent school graduation speeches... the kid woke up when the clapping started. Why anyone would clap at an Obama speech is beyond me, but I guess they wanted to be polite.
Unlike Brooke I love soccer. I want one of those things for when my neighbors get loud with their bad country music. Perhaps for the Fourth or New Years!

It seems that they are the only thing of interest to those covering the W.C.

I just don't get soccer. Vuvuzelas, hooligans...
they say the sports workers/broadcasters, etc., can't even hear themselves on the field. The VUVUS have to GOGO....

;-)
I do not vuvu, but John Stewart said it sounded like angry bees, and I agree... I'd likely spend the match swatting myself.

It cracks me up. If I was there in person it would likely drive me mad.
Meanwhile, in Hell...
Or, turn your speaker up really loud and rock out to this.
birdwoman: Yeah, it's one of those things that's funny from afar.
Ananda girl: Me too. I'm laughing about it half way across the world.
Brooke: Yikes!

David: I will remember that when I play our music too loud. I don't want my neighbors getting the same idea.
