The hubby (and the dogs) and I are moving to southeastern PA in March. I'm visiting for the week, looking at housing, and there is snow aplenty! Guess I'd better get used to it....
Are you getting hit in FL with this current snow storm system too? I'm in Wisconsin and it's BAD! The snow piles alongside my driveway are so high that when I shovel, I can't toss snow that high anymore.
MK Chang: Oh my goodness, that sounds awful even if you're used to the cold. Snow in Florida is very rare. Today (2/2/11), the high will be 73 degrees and we're expecting rain.
Wisconsin, eh? My sister-in-law grew up there and she has told us horror stories about the cold and the snow. I hear on the news that this storm is particulary nasty. One for the record books.
73 degrees...that sounds so perfect right now! Yes, it does get very cold and snowy here, but after awhile, it's no big deal anymore. If we get a foot of snow, no place closes--everybody still functions as if it's nothing at all. I do keep saying that I'm going to move away to some place warmer, but that hasn't happened yet.
MK Chang: Wisconsin folk are hearty and used to the cold & the snow.
I remember one year, I think it was 1978 or 1979, we got 1/8" of snow here in Tampa and it almost paralyzed the city. I was on my way to class, driving very cautiously, and there were cars strewn by the side of the ride. It was quite a pitiful sight.
We Floridians can handle heat, but not much cold and definitely not snow.

WomanHonorThyself: It's 51 degrees and sunny here so pack accordingly ;-)
labradorrodeo.com: I didn't know who you were until I checked your new site. I'm glad all is well with you and your growing family.
Southeastern PA sounds cold to me, but I'm sure Truman and Jethro will adjust easily.
Maybe Florida is where all of the global warming is this time of year?
Chuck: It's almost 11 am and it's 39 degrees. There's no global warming going on here. To a long- time Floridian, this is freezing cold!
