Teresa: Awkward? You're being kind. I would use a stronger word ;-)
Jan: I think the "royal" mentality these two have makes it hard for them to take advice from the lowly subjects.
Brooke: Utter classlessnes is a spot on description. We all know about Moochie's wardrobe, but BO can't even button his suit properly? These two are an embarassment.
AlwaysOnWatch: Classy vs. non classy. That's one level. There are so many levels that I believe the Obamas fail to reach the level of Americanism... oh I can go on and on.
Well the thing that struck me is that Obama looks like he's doing some weird jitter bug dance and M looks like she is recovering from a fall. I think they need to hire a new photo guy.
Honestly, I find all the criticism of Mrs. Obama's look to be pointless. I don't care how she looks.
The big difference to me, looking at the then and now photos, is that then, the President could be counted on to act in the public interest most of the time. With the current President, it happens rarely, and he has to be cajoled into serving the public interest.
I wouldn't care of Mr. Obama looked like Michael Moore and Mrs. Obama looked like Jocelyn Wildenstein, and both of them wore nothing but stained ripped jeans. as long as they were taking their oath of office seriously and doing the right thing for the nation.
Ananda Girl: I saw a wedding photo once where one of the women walking up the aisle ahead of the bride was caught in a bad photo and it looked like she only had one foot. It was just one of those things.
I think BO got caught in a bad photo. My complaint was geared towards his improperly buttoned jacked. He never should've been allowed to deplane like that.
With MO, I can only thank God that the photographer didn't shoot this from behind. Her outfit is awful and she is scowling... again.
WomanHonorThyself: The pictures speak for themselves.
dmarks: I wouldn't care either except the Obamarroids of the press have so gushed over MO's impeccable fashion sense (even comparing her to Jackie O, for pete's sake!) that it was too much for me to take in quietly.
I felt compelled to speak out that the emperess has ugly clothes!!!
President Obama revealed his idea of acting Presidential as compared to Bush's style when he started working in rolled up shirt sleeves in the Oval Office.

Obama and Michele look so awkward while George and Laura both look good.
With the large staff she has, isn't there someone who can help her make wardrobe choices?
What a difference!
The Obamas embody utter classlessness.
He has so much more class
Is anyone besides me yearning for the days that Presidents looked ... presidential?
The President actually looks like he is bending himself to fit inside the frame of the photo.
Classic contrast!
The first photo shows trashy-looking people, the second a couple with class.
And....
Michelle is scowling. Guess she's pissed off that she's gotta return to the awful White House, huh?

Chuck: I disagree. He just hides it better most times. Here he can't button his jacket properly.
Paul Champagne: Hear. Hear.
dmarks: That or he really has to pee ;-)
Let's see.
1) No class
2) Class
