TeBowie

Don't start hating on me... I'm very proud of Tebow, but I also thought this Jimmy Fallon parody was humorous and clever:

You can bet nothing short of a dire emergency will drag me out of the house on Saturday night when the Broncos play the Patriots.

I saw an excerpt from this video on the morning news. I admit that I had to laugh a little at the cleverness.

Always On Watch: As a fan of David Bowie back in the day, I found this Jimmy Fallon parody to be quite good as far as an impression, but also very clever with the lyrics. That's my idea of satire. It doesn't have to be mean, it just has to be funny.

Satire that is funny without being mean describes this well.

You people in Florida must be laughing your asses off at all the people who think that Tim Tebow suddenly emerged from nowhere to make such a national splash. Watching him in college, I was sure he would be an NFL star some day.

Cube - And to think that I almost missed this one.

For me this is not about Tim Tebow but Jimmy Fallon - whose strengh - in my opinion - lies in his brilliant
musical impersonations.

Have you ever seen him do Bob Dylan or Neil Young?

Jan: Tebow has been on our Florida radar for quite a while. I root for my alma mater team first, the USF Bulls, but once they're out, which is often, I've rooted for UF since Tebow came on the scene. It upsets my Seminole friends, but I know more Gators ;-)

Sue Hanes: That's why you come here, Sue, because you never know what you're going to find ;-)

No, I don't watch Fallon's show, but it's not because I don't like him. I like his work and I love his recent commercials.
Usually, at that time, I'm watching cable shows and always seem to miss his show.

Bill Maher... I detest. There's no middle ground with him.

I am a fan of satire
as long as the source is applying it fairly to everyone.
