No, not crazy aunts... we all have one or more of those ;-)
'Crazy Ants' A Threat In Southern U.S.
These crazy ants invade your home and make people pine for the more polite fire ants who stay in their mounds.
Great.
Like we don't have enough wildlife to worry about in Florida.

Killer bees and crazy ants. I'm beginning to think humans don't have a chance.
Many years ago, there was a TV sci-fi show called The Outer LImits. I remember an episode about crazy and dangerous ants, the goal of which was to exterminate humanity.
So, is the sci-fi that I saw back then now the reality?
thepoodleanddogblog: We're all going to die!
Always On Watch: Good for you! You're thinking of The Ashanti. It's exactly what I thought of when I first saw this photo. I'm glad someone else caught the sci-fi reference.
Thankfully these aren't vicious prisoners from another planet, but just little ants that must be eliminated...
Cube,
I did a Google search; those ants on The Outer Limits were called The Zantis.
You know what? I was quite young at the time of that episode of The Outer Limits and thought at the time that Hubert Humphrey looked like a Zanti.
See this, then take a look at some photos of Hubert Humphrey.
What's up all, here every one is sharing these kinds of experience, so it's
nice to read this webpage, and I used to visit this website everyday.
Take a look at my weblog ... Cheap Jerseys
Just move to Oklahoma and trade your crazy ants for tornadoes.
Always On Watch: Yes, the Zantis. That's what I meant and, yes, they do look like HHH. Scary, huh?
Granny Annie: I wouldn't trade our hurricanes for tornadoes ever. Although we have have a few tornadoes here, they are rare. Basically what we fear is a hurricane and we can see them coming and get out of the way.
I pray for those people in OK.
Cube - I can remember back home in the summer we would get big black ant in our kitchen.
I also pray for the people in Oklahoma. It is hard to look at the destruction there. Worse yet the loss of life.
Help me, help me, help me ...
Cube - I have an old sci-fi movie about giant ants called THEM.
Have you seen it? It's pretty good.
Sue,
I remember the movie Them!.
When movies first got a lot of replay on TV, I was quite young -- and quite taken by that film.
The Wikipedia article is HERE and may be of interest to some reading this thread.
AOW - I recall reading that THEM is considered a sci-fi classic.
It's scary.
