Made In Space

I think 3D printers are an incredible scientific achievement...

The First Object Has Been 3D Printed In Space

... but 3D printing in space really excites my inner nerd.

Memo to Mr. Cube ;)

I don't understand it and have such a hard time believing it, but I am amazed by it. What more is yet to be seen in my lifetime?

Cube - Your mind can handle the 3D printing. It means nothing to me. I don't have any scientific genes in my body.

But if you say so it is quite an achievement.

Granny Annie: I've been reading about 3-D printers for years and 'replicators' for decades. I'm happy that it's not only come to fruition, but that it's also happened in space. That's like icing on the cake for me.

I hope we have unimaginably more wonders to see in your lifetime and mine.

Sue Hanes: Believe me, 3-D printers are a big deal here on Earth. The fact that they're doing it on the space station is just big & juicy frosting on the cake. The real big deal is the fact that they can do 3-D printing anywhere at all in our known universe.
