The Other Other White Meat

Throughout the country of Peru, there is an annual tradition that goes back 15 centuries, all the way to the time of the Incas: the guinea pig festival

This Might Look Really, Really Adorable. But When You See What Happens Right After... OMG!

I wonder if guinea pigs taste like chicken.

OMG. But thanks for the head up before we clicked the link. You really find some weird stories.

Yikes. Well at least they dressed them up and played with them a bit before killing and cooking them. That was thoughtful.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

Jan: We must have both channeled Peru yesterday ;)

Glad to spare you the link, but actually it looks like they're eating smallish rabbits.

I think it's weird that I look at the news everyday and see so very much wrong with the direction of our country that I ultimately decide to post something on the escapist side.

I would have to make The BLOG a full-time job (and more) to begin to adequately discuss the disheartening news of our times.

Sandee: I think dressing them up first is stranger than just eating them right off the bat. If they're going to be food, then I'd rather not get too attached. That's just me. It's worked for the Peruvians for 15 centuries.
