Hold The Mayo

Students Slam Michelle O Lunch Rules: ‘The Trash Cans Are More Full Than My Stomach’

Our kids get craptastic lunches or...

our kids get craptacular lunches.

Meanwhile a recent menu where the Obola kids go to school:

The fact that we have a National School Lunch Program says it all. Meanwhile on the lunch menu at Sidwell Friend's School:

Crusted tilapia
Herb roasted chicken
Strawberries and chevre salad
Freshly baked muffins
Pesto cream & garden fresh marinara sauce
Cheese tortellini
All natural house-made chicken fingers
Scallion rice
Roasted edamame & Shitake mushrooms
Jicama mango slaw

You get what you vote for.

Seems to me that the best way to protest this new lunch program would be to bring your own lunch. If the numbers of kids that bought their lunch at school dropped by over 50% at every school that switched to the national program... that would tell a story. You don't HAVE to pay for crap. The only thing the government understands is the dollar anyway.

That's a very valid point, but not everybody has time to make a lunch and I've read about cases where they throw out a kid's lunch because it doesn't measure up to federal standards. It's sheer lunacy. What is a parent supposed to do?

These kids just aren't getting enough food during the day if they are throwing most of it away. I sure was interesting what the Obama kids get though. The very best. Always a double standard. Do as I say not as I do.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

I read where POTUS and wife had a $1000 meal in Hawaii. Do as we say not as we do.
