Meh

OK, its Saturday and I'm at the computer. Looking out my window and I'm seeing craziness. Yesterday, I witnessed a car chase that I found out involved a young woman who wanted to end her life, but couldn't do it herself, so she broke the law in order to have a police officer do it for her. The police were able to talk her down, but it choked up my neighborhood for hours.

Seriously?

Back to Saturday... A new house is going to be constructed across the street and the grass was pulled up by one of those machines... I don't know what they're called... but it left a huge mound of dirt and grass bits. Today I'm sitting at the computer and I see a man picking through this mound and tossing these bits of sod into a cooler, yes a cooler . While this was happening, I saw a man wearing flip flops while pushing a stroller with a baby in it and a woman, whom I assume was with him and the baby, and she was walking on the other side of the street while totally engrossed with her cell phone and wearing a dress. A dress!

Seriously?

Oh, BTW, the guy picking for sod has made several trips in his white van to pick up these grass bits.

Just from my office window... in Florida.

*sigh*

Your neighborhood is far more entertaining than mine, but then you are in Florida where craziness often is the norm. :)

This was just in two minutes of looking out of my window. I was shocked. That's not an easy to say when you live in Florida. I would say that California defines craziness more than Florida, but I think we'd be quibbling about a very small difference. You have your share of flakes over there.

Most of our neighborhood craziness comes in the form of teens wanting to drive their trucks in the field after the rain and spin them out, "doughnuts" i think is what they call them, tearing up the grass. It is quite satisfying when one of them does it and the vehicle gets stuck long enough for the deputy to happen by and issue a citation.

Not that we don't have our "characters" around here, but in the neighborhood, we just don't see them much.

We heard some noise one day and it was a neighbor boy who went to school with our youngest and he was doing doughnuts in the empty lot next door. My husband confronted him and he stopped immediately and apologized. I'm sorry Mr. Cube.. I won't do it again. We never told his parents. Thankfully our characters have so far been the harmless kind.

Yea, at least you've got entertainment out your window. I've got an occasional train (with air horns) and birds and semi-trucks coming to deliver the stuff we sell. But I also have the computer and can look out any window in the world I wish, so what am I talking about.

I don't know where you live but it sounds like hell on earth. There are lots of nasty spiders and huge roaches where I live, but I can take care of them .

Z: There's nothing wrong with a dress, but I just thought it wasn't the best attire for a walk. And the husband over on the other side of the street pushing the stroller was wearing flip flops. When I take the dogs for a walk, I don't wear a dress or flip flops and I walk alongside the person I'm walking with. The whole scene was weird.

We have some colorful characters in our neighborhood. One lady that I see often has an attachment on the back of her bicycle that her dog rides in. It is so cute. That is one happy dog enjoying the scenery.

At our old neighborhood, we would see a lady walking her dog and her cat would follow a few steps behind them. It was hilarious.

I guess I'm easily amused.

Woman Honor Thyself: I know. It's not pleasant if they're building a house for someone else. The year we had our pool built, I'd be out there waiting for them to show up at 6 am. We so wanted that pool finished.
