International Woman's Day

From one of my favorite women...

Camille Paglia Predicted 2017: What The ’90s Provocateur Understands About The Trump Era.

It's an excrutiatingly long read, so here's one of my favorite Paglia quotes from the article:

"Still, the pussy hats: She buried her face in her hands as she discussed them. “I was horrified, horrified by the pink pussy hats,” she said; the pink pussy hats were “a major embarrassment to contemporary feminism.”

“I want dignity and authority for women,” Paglia said. “My code is Amazonism. I want weapons.”

Yeah, you go, girl.

These people are whiners. All this is is anti-Trump. If Hillary were president you'd not see this, and women would still be making less than men in many places of business. Put your big girl panties on and grow up.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

Sandee: I didn't get the memo about women striking today. I chose to include a Paglia interview because I enjoy her contrariness. Her comments about the college students, "dopey, immature, self-pitying women walking around like sticks of butter" was typical Camille.

You're right. If Hill were president they wouldn't be striking today. They'd be calling for free cell phones, rent and gasoline.

I feel so left out as one who self-identifies as a man. Where is my opportunity to strike for higher wages? I'm self employed and my boss is a total jerk, but I feel so marginalized.

LL: Don't feel bad. I self-identify as a woman and I didn't know we were supposed to strike today. And remember, no one can make you feel, only you can make you feel a certain way ;)

BTW I'm self-employed and my boss is a total jerk too. Small world.

I read about some elementary schools canceling so the teachers could make some statement or other. I don't get protests and never will.

Jan: Me either. These are some interesting times we live in, eh?
