Sheriff Fail

Mark Steyn is his usual eloquent self on the subject of Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel...

A Total Failure Of The State

From "to protect and serve" to self-protect and self-serve. That says it all.

Hubby and I were talking about him yesterday and we figure this is his last term as Sheriff. He'll be voted out.

Have a fabulous day. ♥

Sandee: I don't know, it is Broward County. During an interview with CNN today, the sheriff is quoted as saying, "Jake, I can only take responsibility for what I knew about. I exercised my due diligence. I've given amazing leadership to this agency—"

Amazing isn't the word I'd use to describe the sheriff's leadership. Such an ego on this democrat.

Scott Israel makes a great case for private ownership of firearms to protect yourself. It's clear that BCSO has little inclination to do that. But you know that they cash their paychecks.

A giant failure by local law enforcement blamed on the NRA.

Political hack known to appoint favorites, dodging where the buck stops.
The Coral Gables Police Department does not regard him highly given that their deputies went in before his did.

LL: True, the School Resource Officer retired with his pension intact and the others will cash their paychecks. Of course they will because this is a police department run by liberal politics. When the Broward County Police Dept. and the Superintendent of Broward County schools enters into an agreement with the NAACP to hold minority students to a lower standard of misbehavior, you know some crimes are going to go unnoticed.

BTW Robert Runcie, the Superintendent of Broward County schools, is the brother of James Runcie, the Obama appointee as Chief Operating Officer of the Office of Federal Student Aid who resigned in May 2017 after refusing to testify before a congressional oversight panel regarding the department’s rising improper payment rate for federal student aid programs.
No word on the allegedly missing 6 billion out of the entire 1 trillion budget.

Woodsterman (Odie): Gun ownership is under attack from all fronts. The NRA is blameless, but you're never going to convince the left of that fact.

Ed Bonderenka: I know Broward County is getting the brunt of the opprobrium right now (and well they should), but they're not alone. There are plenty of other libtard departments out there more concerned with leftist policies than in doing their jobs.

Meanwhile the Sheriff Fail is on CNN yakking about having done his due diligence and how he's "given amazing leadership to this agency."

Seriously?

May the truth set us free, and soon.

This is such as sad finger pointing situation that prevents nothing

Messymimi: Yes, we need to shine some light on these shenanigans so that the truth comes out. The "transparency" of the obama admin. was the most opaque in history. Nixon had nothing on him.

Jan: It is a sad situation that will continue preventing nothing until enough fingers point to the problems with the police, the schools and the NAACP to make policies change for the better.
