Blog Slog?

Is today's GapingVoid comic fair commentary on blogs and blogging?

I wonder sometimes.

You're not kidding. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother.

I hope I never start a blog. That would be a sad day for everyone.

Wait a minute ...

nanc: I'm just having a blue day. There's not enough chocolate in the world to make it better. Only time will heal this hurt.

d.a.: And don't you forget it.

Dunno...I talk about other people's lives on my blog!

Funny cartoon. I've given up blogging, or abandoned my blog, at least three times. I have no idea why I keep getting dragged back in. I think the cartoon does get at the fact that a lot of people write personal posts, which is fine with me.

nanc: Yes. Can't get anything past you.

well, like it or not - we are more alike than most would imagine...given our geek differences.

are you in mourning?

is dax still with us or not? it's alright with the rest of us to be vulnerable - remember last year when my father passed?

We bother because we choose to, and I think that's all that matters.

Hey, how else would I have ever met a Cube from Florida, of all places?

Nah, blogging isn't lonely, it isn't pointless and it's mostly not about whinging, unless you happen to like those types of blogs - not that there's anything wrong with that.

If I blogged for comments, I'd be very lonely. I blog to spew my thoughts and to keep my family and friends up to date on my life. Most don't comment, but when they see me, they always ask about some old post or other. It's kind of funny.

Point being, just because there's no one there to hear the tree fall doesn't mean the transverse waves aren't generated.

Keep making waves!
