Total Lunar Eclipse

On Wednesday evening, February 20th, the full Moon over Europe and the Americas will turn a delightful shade of red. It's a total lunar eclipse—the last one until Dec. 2010.

When should you look? Go to Spaceweather.com

We've got snowstorms for today and tomorrow. I hope they clear off!

we're in the same predicament as brooke - what i find even more interesting is the satellite they're going to try and shoot down tomorrow!

Maybe they will clear up. In my area the partial eclipse won't start until 10:01 PM EST.

nanc: They're shooting it down today (Wednesday). And yes, it is way cool.

nanc: Nevermind. Now it's looking like Thursday again because of bad weather in the Pacific.

I hope we have a good, clear view.
My daughter took a photo of my son sitting on our mailbox looking at the last lunar eclipse. It is a terrific photo:

Overcast!!!!!!!!!!
Drat, I didn't get to see the comet either because we were overcast or mostly cloudy! Now it's rainning.
But apparently the shoot down went well, though Russia and China are spouting off! I'm sure they would rather have had the satellite come down in their backyards, just so they could jump up and down and jibber-jabber propaganda!
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

Our clouds cleared off and I was able to watch most of it; I didn't see it come back all the way, as it was getting very late!

tmw: I don't care what they say, but I do hope Russia & the ChiComs remember our missile capability.

brooke: I saw the eclipse begin & took some wretched photos. It was too cloudy to see by the time it would've started to move from the shadow.

That's not one of your photos in the post then? Otherwise I'd strongly disagree with your comment about the pics on my site coming out better.

mcf: That is most defintely not one of my horrid photos. I found this beautiful image on the Internet.
