Christmas, Not-So-Merry

Reid Bill Says Future Congresses Cannot Repeal Parts Of Reid Bill

How is this possible? How does this pass Constitutional muster?

The passing of the Obamacare abomination is certainly casting a pall on the Christmas of 2009 for me.

Dear readers, how are you all handling it?

I'm hanging onto the hope that there will be a significant political shift come election time next year! Just imagine if the House Majority changed and were able to overturn some of this nonsense.....

I find it hard to believe this would withstand a Constitutional challenge. Leaving that alone, we have a governmental leadership in place right now that think we live in a dictatorship

I would have to question Reid as Constitution scholar. Or that he has even read it.

I feel like Santa just took a crap in my stocking.

*sigh*

This is completely contrary to the 10th amendment. Like Chuck said, we live in a dictatorship where unaccountable elites ignore the will of the people.

Dorie: From your lips to God's ear. I'm hoping for it too, but unfortunately, so much of the populace is overcome with wanting
"free stuff" that I'm not confident it will happen.

Chuck: Feels like that to me, too. I just can't get my head around how this can be allowed to stand in our democratic republic.

Jan: Harry is a pissant. How he got to where he is today is a monument to the Peter Principle.

Brooke: Join the club. This isn't shaping up to be a very merry Christmas for us either. As far as the crap in your stocking goes, if it doesn't stink, it was Obama and not Santa ;-)
