and smells like

Obama leaves a huge stench all over America. Let's remove that stench in 2012.

Well, there are problems with Obama's plan. But you know, the current healthcare system kind of sucks, too. And as someone who is recently unemployed and trying to get more freelance work, I can't immediately assume Obama's plan is a bad thing. If I can actually afford healthcare as a freelancer, that will be a beautiful thing. Even though Glenn Beck wants everyone to believe it, not all of us are looking for handouts. I just don't want to have to go to the ER every time I have an issue.

Chuck: Yes, the bill doesn't pass the smell test.

Teresa: I agree, but a lot can happen between now and November.

BeckEye: The current system has problems that can be fixed without raising taxes for most, raising premiums for some, and rationing health care for all.

I don't think anybody wants to pay more for less, but I fear that's what we will end up if just part of what I've read of Obamacare is implemented. Trouble is, there is still so much we don't know about because of the secrecy employed in crafting the measures. That alone is very troublesome. If it's so good, why hide it from the public?

I think we're all suffering from the slow economy. We have a small business and work is very slow. We know many good people who have been laid off because there isn't enough construction to keep them employed. Imposing the tax hikes that Obamacare calls for will only worsen an already bleak economy.

We need jobs. We need health care reform. We don't need Obamacare.

For the first time in my life, I'm afraid of my country. I'm thinking about moving to New Zealand.

Beckeye: You have some valid concerns.

Yet.... the plan just passed contains a provision to force medical equipment makers to raise their prices 10%. How will this help you? It will certainly make healthcare less affordable.

If you have no insurance now, it is because you can't afford it. Yet, the plan just passed has a punitive provision to force you to go buy an expensive insurance plan or you get in trouble with the law. How does this help you?

And, in a "what the?" moment, te healthcare plan forces tanning-salon operators to raise their prices. What does this have to do with anything... and how does this help you?

On top of that, you said you are unemployed. Obama has pretty much ignored the huge unemployment problem. This bill will place a burden of unfunded mandates on employers, which will force them to lay off more people. How will this help you? How will this help anyone?

Yes, indeed, this change is a big bag of poo on your front porch, and on fire.

RightKlik: I'm afraid for the USA too, but I can't imagine living anywhere else.

dmarks: Excellent points. There isn't anything in Obamacare that will help the productive sector of our economy. It is based on wealth distribution, pure and simple.

Brooke: A flaming bag of poop on America's front porch that the Obamavoters have forced the rest of us to step in. Good analogy.

I have such a heavy heart...hoping for November, but waiting for the other shoe to drop!

Dorie: My heart is heavy too, and my brain tells me that a lot can happen between now and November.
