Teresa: Thank you. She is very sleek and beautiful. She is also very exuberant. We're not used to dogs who jump on people. We're working on breaking her of that bad habit.
Always On Watch: I wish we knew. We aren't familiar with Dobermans at all. We don't know if 35 pounds is big for a Dobie female at 4 months old. We are learning as we go.
Brooke: She is a beauty. We're used to German Shepherds and have no experience with Dobermans, but we didn't want her to go to a shelter as a result. We're learning as we go. We would very much appreciate any tips your mom can see fit to send way :-)
EDGE: Congrats on the new pup. I share your happiness and I share your pain. The potty training is one nasty chore.
Ananda Girl: She is very loving dog. Sunday afternoon I was out on the deck reading a book and she sat next to me for a long time. It was a nice break from the frenzied puppy phase.
Jen: Think long and hard before you leap into new puppyhood. Potty training is rough.
Caz: I just call her Pups and she comes when I call her. I hope I don't confuse her too much, but Maxie is my cousin's son's name, and Max sounds too much like Dax, our beloved German shepherd who died 2 years ago.
We need a better name but so far nothing has occurred to us.

Awww, Maxine is so cute!!
She is pretty too. She does look like she's an extremely playful puppy.
Pure elegance!
Is the big for her age? She looks so big in the photos.
What a pretty Dobie!
My mother adopted a one-year-old Doberman about six months ago. She is STILL full of puppy energy.
Enjoy your new pup!

Woman Honor Thyself: She weighs 38 pounds and was raised as a lap dog. We're in the process of breaking that habit.
Birdwoman: I don't like the name Maxine either, but I was out-voted by my family.
Come to think of it, she does have a sarcastic bark ;-)
She's a beauty, Cube!
Good luck with the taxes and the potty training. It'll all be over eventually! ;-)
I've been wanting another dog lately. I saw a "free puppies" sign at the local feed store. Blue Healer / Border Collie mix.
ru-roh...
She is a beautiful girl.
Maybe you can call her Maxy for short, or Max ... :-D
