Tata Nano Car Sales Sink By 85% From Last Year

I don't know how this will ultimately affect us here in the U.S., I just wanted to to use the words "Tata Nano" in a sentence ;-)

Hard to believe such a beautifully designed car wouldn't corner a large world market.

Tata Nanos is a great name though

The design makes me think of a death-trap if it were to come anywhere near one of our SUVs. It may be more martketable in Europe and Asia.

The name makes me giggle in a Bevis and Butt-head way. I can't help it.

However, analysts pointed out that a series of fires in the Nano

Yeah, that could have something to do with it...

Points for the name though.

You are exactly right. I can imagine Cornholio babbling it. "Tata nano! Lake Titicaca. Tp for my bunghole! Tata nano!"

Chuck: My first car was a Ford Pinto so I'm familiar with cars bursting into fires, but with Pintos, someone had to hit you. They didn't just spontaneously combust.

dmarks: I think letting the Vogons into the design department might have been an improvement. Tox Uthat!

As far as the Bevis & Butthead reference goes: looks like you're very familiar with them. How much does this say about you, eh? ;-)
