Another Timely Flub

Time manages to not disappoint yet again... the Wall Street occupiers?

Really?

Time's Person Of The Year

How are they still in business?

I only hear about them once a year and I think, Oh, are they still around?

Don't you think they just pick whoever will piss off the most people?

This makes no sense at all to me.

Our local area Occupy folk don't protest much, other than being told to leave. What they seem to be are a group of homeless people who have found a way for the city to provide them with a tent city. They even knock on the doors of people living near by to ask for things, like sleeping bags or to use their bathrooms. Meanwhile they are using up city resources like crazy...from free power to police patrols 24/7. They are a problem, not a solution.

Typical behavior. They lack manners and respect.

They need to get back to work and quit wasting our tax-dollars.

Bummed me out when Manino pushed out OccupyBoston.

I had donated my spare copy of Paul Goodwin's "Growing Up Absurd" to the library. It's out of print and now it's gone. Hope it found a good home.

Wonder if they consider Tea Partiers as part of this group.

This is the kind of idiot that is supposed to be the Person of the Year?

Unreal.

She should be arrested for child abuse.

Also, why was every one of those morons not arrested for trespassing? It is illegal to be on train tracks.

Cube - My Choice for Person of the Year would have been:

THE BLOGGER

maybe next time

Time Magazine actively shills for the Left.

I am sick of it, sick of it, sick of it -- all this shilling on the part of the mainstream medai.

Jan- 'are they still around?'

We used to read both TIME and
NEWSWEEK faithfully - but now I would not be caught buying either magazine for any reason.

But you know what - although I still think THE BLOGGER would have been the right choice for person of the year - I am not opposed to the protester as their choice.

Sure - the OWS people were more than over the top in their protests for many reasons - but when I think back to the Vietnam war prostesters - well I believe they were right on in what they were saying.

I think the 'protester' needs to be listened to - and they in turn need to clean up their act.

The Occupy Tulsa group continues to make total fools of themselves and their entire "supposed" movement. All "Occupiers" are an embarrassment to past causes of the world. The cover of Time? Give me a break.

Does anybody but doctors subscribe to TIME anymore? I remember when it actually discussed things from both sides...not even from SIDES; it discussed THINGS. What a loss.

Ducky, maybe somebody's using pages from that book to use after using a cop car for a toilet?

This is absurd. The whiny, irresponsible brats need to grow up and act like civilized adults.

TIME does have great pictures/photography. Not as good as LIFE, though.

I just stupidly assumed Steve Jobs would be the person of the year, but whatever.
