Cat Blog Friday

For this Friday, the 13th, Cat Blog Friday...

...an angry black cat. I think it dovetails nicely with the spate of articles about Michelle Obama denying that she's an angry black woman.

Here are a couple, but there are plenty more...

Portrait Of The First Lady As An Angry Young Woman

Michelle Obama: People Paint False Image That I'm Some Angry Black Woman

Best quote from the articles I read was from William Sullivan of The American Thinker:

"Mrs. Obama, your image as an "angry black woman" is not an image we've painted of you. This is an image you've masterfully painted for us all."

I have always been proud of my country.

MO and her handlers are into damage control on this matter of her being an angry woman (black or not). She does often look angry, and that is a fact.

Love the angry black cat photo in this post. All cats get angry, of course. But a black cat DOES look more fearsome when angry.

Always On Watch: I see your point, but would she be so angry if she hadn't been black and attended a hateful black liberation theology church for 20 years?

As far as the black cat goes, we have our Felix and he looks pretty scary when on those few occasions he does get angry, but it's nothing like the teeth of our Doberman, Maxine. She's a sweetheart, but her mouth even looks scary when she yawns deeply. I'll take my chances with a cat anytime.

Cube - First I would like to say that I prefer your really cute Cat Blog Fridays to the angry one shown here - but after all it is Friday the 13th.

And to stay ontopic - as an American Liberal and for now a woman who intends to vote for President Obama in November - I would like to put in my 2 cents worth about Michelle Obama:

I believe Michelle Obama to be a strong~intelligent~loving~caring wife and mother - and furthermore I do not believe that she is angry - for angry is a negative
emotion - and I believe that the
First Lady is a Positive Person.

I would imagine no one here will agree with that - this being a Conservation Blog and all.

Sue Hanes: I can't imagine anyone with 2 neurons to rub together would conclude Moochelle wasn't angry unless one of those neurons was inhibitory.

The history of sitting at Wright's church for 20 years, the comments she has made over the years and her expression when she makes them, all make me think she is extremely angry and not proud of her country.

The latest example I can think of is when they were at a Veteran's function and she mumbled to BO, "all this about a damn flag."
Again, one more example that tells me she's not the cheerful patriotic flower who have portrayed her to be.

Trekkie4Ever said...

Well, maybe if she didn't have a scowl on her face all of the time, especially at military functions she wouldn't have gained that title.

What does she want pity? Well, it won't be from me.

Cube - First - on reading again my comment here I realized that I called your blog a Conservation Blog - instead of a Conservative
Blog. Sorry about that.

But about Michelle Obama - it has been my experience from reading and commenting on yours - and at least two other Conservative Blogs - that no Conservative Blogger is going to give her credit for anything.

For instance - if instead of saying to her husband - Barack Obama - 'all this over a damn flag'
she had said - Honey - I am so Proud to be an American and I Love the Flag of my Country - which I am Proud of -

the Conservative Bloggers whose Blogs I read and comment on would
say this on their Blogs:

'Boy, that MOOOchelle Obama sure has a fat ass.'

Leticia: Even if we didn't have the plethora of pissed off, angry photos of the First Wookie, we
we have plenty of quotes referring to her indifference to the patriotic protocol of this country. MO hasn't earned my respect and neither has BO.

Sue Hanes: I realized your typo
didn't require a correction because I know that my blog is far from a conservation blog. It was intuitively obvious that you meant conservative. No problem.

As far as Moochelle goes, I can't go as far as you go attributing those wonderful characteristics to her given her history and her comments.

BTW her fat ass wouldn't even be mentioned had she not made the organic "not" garden her pet project and telling the rest of America how to eat properly while she's swilling down every lobster, shrimp, french fry and milk shake in sight.

sue hanes said...

Cube - I have not met Michelle Obama face to face. Yet I choose to see in her the characteristics that I listed in my comment based on articles I have read in magazines and the internet. I have also seen and heard her interviewed on a couple of occasions. That is what I base my opinion of her on.

I have never been face to face with you - Cube. Yet I have made it clear that I like and respect you - and that is based on my having read your comments on your blog, my blog - and a couple of other blogs plus although I do not always agree with the Content of your blog - I find it to be a
consistently good blog - and fair in accepting all comments.

That is one fierce looking kitty!

I have to agree that MO does often look angry. She has quite a scowl. But its the other little things she does... like not putting her hand on her heart during the pledge until one of the SS people whispered to her to do it, or how bored she often looks by the ceremonies she attends.

The position of First Lady is a job. She is part of the face of our country to the world. If she does not show respect to our country, why should others outside our country respect us. Its just very poor form.

Always On Watch said...

Cube,
I do think that sitting in Wright's church added to what I perceive as MO's anger.

Before those days, she wrote a doctoral thesis advocating black separatism. The paper opposed cultural synthesis with whites. As First Lady, MO has been been forced into such a synthesis.

According to a new book released a week or so ago, MO doesn't believe that any real reform comes via legislative action.

So, I don't wonder that she is angry. I think that she'd much rather that Barack had stayed in his community-action programs and worked therein.

As America's first black First Lady, MO didn't find "her voice" until quite recently.

Also, she's had quite a makeover, in both physical appearance and attitude. See this recent CBS video. I have to ask why we're seeing such material at this late stage of Obama's 2009-2012 term.

I also wonder if MO looked angry and bored when Obama was serving in Congress.

Indeed.

Laura Bush as First Lady was a strong advocate of reading. Did we see her running around to movies and playing Angry Birds instead of reading? Nope.

And one more thing....I find all this MO on iCarly stuff a show of lack of dignity. I really don't want the First Lady or any politician to appear on sitcoms. Dignity of the office and all that.

Sue Hanes: I have not met you in person either, but I believe you to be a good hearted woman who has been "bedeviled" by leftist beliefs.

Cube, I think the Michelle thing is a first salvo for RACISM shot by the WH before the election.
If you don't vote Obama, you're a racist...therefore, all Republicans with brains are racist. The fun never stops, does it.
We had a great conversation about the ANGRY BLACK WOMAN at my place yesterday, during which nobody, even my libs, could find where any politico called Michelle an angry black woman...still, they insult and try to give the conservatives the race card.

You're right about Michelle's appearance, etc. Wouldn't you LOVE to have whoever got their hands on her and fixed her so well on YOU? I would!

By the way, did any of you hear Nancy Reagan or Laura Bush complain about the bad press they got from the libs? no, I didn't think so. This is about the election.

sue hanes said...

Cube - Let's look at your comment:

As I see it it has two parts:

'good woman' - why thanks Cube

'bedeviled' - let's look at that further - you know take apart the word 'bedeviled'

Now - Cube - does that mean that although I am a good woman I am stupid enough that I don't recognize that mean Liberals are putting a devil's spell on me?

Or does it mean that I am really of the Devil and I am masquerading as a 'good woman?'

Or is that just a Blogger's offhanded remark that is really not serious?

cause you know what - Cube - I take everything seriously - and I truly hope that the Devil doesn't have a Spell on me - because the Truth is Cube - I'm a sincere good American Liberal and I'm scared of the Devil that I don't believe in.

Fat Assed Angry Black Women have always scared me on Friday the 13th, more than Black Cats do.

Given how she stated at the beginning of BO's administration that it was the first time she was proud of her country and consistently looks angry, not happy she fits the epitome of an angry black woman.

Okay, on second thought... maybe her mean looks is just gas from all the burgers and wings she eats.

Ever read Michelle Obama's thesis (when she was at Princeton). I was appalled. It was writing that I would attribute to a high schooler. Hardly Princeton education standards.

So many grammatical mistakes. And lacks citations from references. Reads more like a personal essay than a thesis.

I was actually shocked at how bad it was.

*P.S. I have an English degree and was a high school English teacher.

sue hanes said...

Cube - Ok already.

Are you trying to fool us and maybe you are thinking that we will forget that the mean Cat Blog Friday is the one from last week.

We know you are busy with your family but couldn't you just post one of those really cute little Cat Blog Fridays?

Please Cube

Well no matter what she says--she tempers it with nice comments about what interests her--but do we not all know you get more with sugar than vinegar--but--she does sneak the nasty in. She doesn't fool me, body language and facial expressions tell all. just watch.
