thepoodleanddogblog: Scary stuff. And hurricane season started last Saturday. That's what we worry about in our part of the country, but at least you can see them coming and get out of the way.
Sue Hanes: Thank goodness tornadoes are rare here in Florida. We mostly worry about hurricanes, which can be equally destructive, but at least you can see them coming and get out of the way.
Woodsterman (Odie): Yikes, I wouldn't take them either.
Many of our family members have been in close proximity to these storms. We had a tornado hit four miles east of us two weeks ago and seriously damage fifteen homes but thankfully no loss of life. Living in tornado alley is the story of my life but never have I seen such a terrible strike of repeat events with still more to come.
Granny Annie: Hope you and yours stay safe. Hurricanes are what we fear in my neck of the woods, but even though they can be destructive, they're not as sneaky as tornadoes.

I just looked at the pictures from your link. The power of nature is really incredible,
aw so tragic ..sigh...:(
Cube - Tornadoes are so sad the way they come upon people so quickly and are so destructive.
As far as the storm chasers go - that is traic - but part of what they do - getting so close to the storms.
I can't believe that some people just do it for the thrill.
I'll take my earthquakes and snow any day.

WomanHonorThyself: Yes, it is. Between the wildfires, the tornadoes, and now the flooding, it's been a very bad few weeks for so many.
