Chikungunya!

It's Here: First Local Chikungunya Cases in Florida

It brings horrible pain, as though your bones are being crushed, but at least it doesn't kill you.

You only wish you were dead.

Yikes. That's all we need is one more thing to try to avoid.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

Cube - This virus reminds me of shingles. No good treatment for it and it is excruciating pain and discomfort.

We're expecting it here anytime too.

Sue Hanes: It does remind me of shingles as well. I did have chicken pox as a kid and I think about getting the vaccine, but I really do hate needles and I always put it off.

Anji Knutsen: I don't where you are and, I would certainly not ask you to be specific, but a general location of "here" is would be nice to know.

I got the virus in haiti and am back in Oregon. It has been a hard five weeks wiht still constant pain. I am writing about my experience on my blog - Sarah in Haiti.

Things that help

Medical pain socks and hand wraps you can buy in a pharmacy

Ice packs

Electric foot bath - hot and cold

Pain patches - I buy commercial ones and Tiger Balm ones.

Good luck one and all
