I drink mostly water, but I drink an occasional soft drink, such as Coke Zero or Sprite Zero, and I don't think it's dangerous to do so. Tomorrow they'll be telling us coffee is bad for us. It's always something.
Jan: We live in Florida so keeping a sufficient water supply is an essential part of our annual hurricane survival strategy. We also have large collapsible plastic containers that we can fill up with tap water for bathing or, in a pinch, drinking water. If the zombipocalypse happens, I'd rather bathe in Diet Coke than drink it ;) But hey, whatever floats your boat.
I LOVE Diet Coke but don't drink it now except at restaurants for lunch occasionally.... Love the picture....so far, after having drunk Coke, I'm a little better looking than that :)
While i've never been a big drinker of lots of soda, i can tell you that a Diet Coke you opened yesterday and left in the fridge overnight to go flat, consumed the next morning, will wake you faster than a cup of coffee. That's something i used to do once or twice a year, when i knew i'd really need to be up and going very early.

I've got my bottle of water and it's all good. I don't care for diet coke. I'm happy about that now.
Have a fabulous day. ☺

I've shifted to water also and keep stockpiles of it in the kitchen. In the zombie Apocalypse I don't want to bathe in Diet Coke.

Z: LOL. Just posting a warning... that used to be Raquel Welch ;)
Messymimi: Why would you let it go flat? Wouldn't the caffeine be as effective if it were effervescent?
