Can't one be both?

Jan: Sure. I am both. In fact, I like the new Star Wars more than I like the new Star Trek. Trek lost me with the new timeline. I can't even watch the new Trek movies when they're on TV... for free!

Did I hear it was only on TV for THREE YEARS?

Z: Star Trek ran from September 1966 through June 1969. There were only 79 episodes, but how they changed the world is an amazing thing. I remember watching the very first episode with my dad and getting hooked on it forever.

The original Star Trek explored so many social and human condition issues and in such an excellent way. Plus the stories were as inspiring as they were interesting. That it was only on 3 years, while dancing with the stars will be on forever tells us much about the people who surround us.
