Trump Wins!!!!

I voted early and then avoided the news until 1 am. I went to FOX news first, saw the electoral college votes, and then I went to CNN. My husband and my daughter freaked out at the news around 2:40 am when Hillary graciously conceded the election. Let me tell you, a New England Yankee from New Hampshire, and a New York city bred girl, and a girl born in Tampa, Florida... we all hooped and hollered... OK we didn't dance in the street, but we wanted to.

What an amazing time.

It is amazing. My prayers are with him (and with her, that she would repent).

Last night, i went to bed as early as i could, figuring it would all be over by now. Yours was the first blog i saw this morning, before i even went out to get the paper.

It's not over for us yet, though, we have run-offs. The worst of it is behind us now.

I was very surprised this morning when I booted up my computer to see that Trump won. Thanks you Lord.

Have a fabulous day, I know I will. ☺

Messymimi: I'm glad I was the bearer of good news. That's always a good feeling and I will carry it with me all day. You're right about the fight not being over; the fight for this country has just begun. Guess what... I saw on the news that the Trump transition people are showing up to work today. The Obama's side of the transition didn't expect them that early.

Sandee: I refused to watch the news all day yesterday, but when I woke up at 1 am, I couldn't resist a peek. Fox had Trump ahead with electoral votes, so I switched to CNN. Their scores were lower, but still showing Trump ahead. I was flabbergasted. Soon after that, I woke my family and we watched the news together. At ~2:40 am when we heard that Hill had conceded the election, we went crazy. Even our youngest daughter, living in Gainesville, was in on the celebration via texting.

Waiting for Hill's concession speech. First it was set for 9:30 EST, then it got bumped up to 10:30 EST. It's 10:45 and I'm still waiting. I know it can't be easy to see your life long dream fade away, but if you hadn't been such a grifter your whole life, you might have won your prize.

It's 10:58 am and I'm still waiting for Hillary.

It's 11:04 am... still no Hillary. The glass ceiling in weighing upon me.

Hard to believe that anyone wanted four more years of the last eight.

Jan: Apparently some lo-fos and free stuff crowd did want more of the same. Thank goodness this time the "leaners" came out of the woodwork and out-voted them. I knew that there were secret Trump fans out there because there were very few Hillary yard signs in my very democratic neighborhood. Back in 2008 and 2012 there were Obama signs all over the place. I didn't see a Hillary sign until the day of the election when we voted and then went for breakfast.

I still can't believe that WE THE PEOPLE finally stood up to be counted!

WE THE PEOPLE have pulled our republic back from the brink of destruction. HRC would certainly have destroyed the land that I love.
