Cat Blog Friday

For this Cat Blog Friday...

... two Chinese mandarin cats on Chinese New Year's day.

What, it's the Year of the Dog, you say?

Good point. This is for you:

Great, just when I got used to writing Year of the Rooster on my checks ;)

Happy Friday, everybody.

On well, we keep changing it every year. Your rooster will roll around again.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday. ♥

Cats in drag are always adorable

Sandee: Yes, by my calculations, the rooster will return in 2029 and your rabbit in 2023.

Jan: Yes, they are adorable, especially the one on the right. It's fervent expression is precious. Takes it's role of mandarin very seriously.

Just right for the New Year!

Technically, all of your cat posts should be dog posts until the year of the pig rolls around - then you're stuck with shoats.

LL: Well, first, I don't conform to the customs of the ChiComs, so I'm going to stick with my cats. My blog is banned in China so they won't care. And second, it's just a fun thing to do yearly, like look at the horoscope on my birthday. I don't believe they have much intrinsic value beyond that.

The cats look like Babushkas. If you pop off their heads, is there another inside? LOL

Granny Annie: Trust me. They're Chinese mandarins :)

LL: Oh BTW I'm still ticked off that the Chinese don't include cats in their zodiac. They can include a mythical dragon, but not the wonderful cat?
