This came to me via email from Auntie M:
THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND
I was a little shocked by the pictures when it penetrated my brain how long she's been around. She gives new meaning to the phrase "Long Live the Queen"
How old does this make you feel?
I don't know about you, but I went WOW somewhere between Eisenhower and Truman.
( P.S. After looking at this I am shocked at how long I've been around, too...)
IF YOU REMEMBER ALL THESE PRESIDENTS, YOU'RE NO SPRING CHICKEN EITHER!

Whoever compiled this email left out Lyndon Johnson. I'm just sayin...
May we see her standing next to a new president.
Hear! Hear! From your lips to God's ear.
I think she loves her people too much to ever let Charles the Foolish reign.
goin to count wrinkles now..,lol
She's quite the lady. I lament we inflicted her with that doddering fool Barack Obama, and hope we never do such a thing ever again.
Jan: There is some protocol that must be followed to pass the crown to her grandson. Charles would have to abdicate and it would then skip to Wills. I hope the Queen holds on long enough that Charles just doesn't want to be bothered and lets his son have it.
WomanHonorThyself: Time and gravity spare no one :-)
Mustang: I share your lament. There is no excuse for a head of state not learning the protocol of meeting the queen of another country. Unless, or course, the Obamas know best about all and don't listen to their handlers.
Funny, I noticed LBJ missing too.
She had been reigning for almost a decade before I was born.
Chuck: Maybe LBJ was too busy with his gallbladder ;-)
Holy cow! She has been around a long time. Someone has been taking very good care of her.
I remember up to President Reagan, may he rest in peace, and that pretty much says how old I am. LOL!!
Interesting sequence of photographs!
I must say that Queen Elizabeth II has aged very gracefully. May we all be able to say the same!
Somehow, I can't imagine Lyndon Johnson standing next to the queen.
Cube - These are an amazing collections. How did you come up with them?
Have you see The Queen?
Helen Mirren does a fantastic job portraying the queen.
Always On Watch: Great genes combines with a life of leisure can do that.
Sue: I can't take credit for this compilation. It came to me via email. I merely transferred using cut and paste.
I love Helen Mirren's work, Prime Suspect and 2010 come to mind, but I haven't seen The Queen. Maybe on DVD...
