I do feel sorry for the tourists who travelled to DC to visit it.
Like the time I went to the Statue of Liberty and her arm was closed off to visitors because it was being repaired. Still, looking out of her head was still an amazing experience.

Earthquakes just happen willy nilly with no warning and that's even scarier to me. I can't scoff at the fear of any people who suffer earthquakes whether they be frequent occurrances as in the west coast or very rare as in the east coast.
