The Highway Patrol used to call my husband if there was fresh deer roadkill available. He would make it into jerky but not to sell. Also we used to carry plastic sacks in our car trunk in case we came across any fresh racoons or possums or foxes, etc. for their pelts.
Jan: Veggies are better unless you can recognize the meat.
Leticia: Who knows how long it was out there on the road.
Granny Annie: Fresh roadkill is different. I hate to see the meat or the pelts wasted. I don't trust a Chinese restaurant out to save some money at the customer's expense.
Brooke: The asphalt yes, the maggots... I wouldn't bet on it.
DaBlade: You get points for quoting the Motel Hell dialog... love it! You know that movie is on at 2:30 Saturday morning. If I'm up, I think I'll watch it again.

What?!? I'm sure they picked out all of the asphalt pebbles and maggots!
@ Granny: I've always said that if I hit a dear that sucker is mine...
"It takes all kinds of critters...to make Farmer Vincents fritters" (from Motel Hell of course)
Red Flower's version:
"It takes all kinds of road carrion... to make General Tso's chickion".
OK, that was weak.
