Bringing you cubular news, there is a robot that can solve a Rubik's cube in 1.196 seconds.
Don't Blink: Robot Solves Rubik's Cube In Just Over 1 Second
For those who care, the fastest human record holder for solving the Rubik's cube is 4.90 seconds.
WOW!
Update: Is it too late to admit that I've always wanted a robot friend?
Mayhaps it is.

Pretty soon humans won't be needed to do much other than build robots and at some point that may not be needed either. Very interesting.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
I lost track of the months I spent on it. (years?)
Humans are always going to be needed to provide the 'human' functions that robots can only theorize about.
Jan: Do you have the world record of having an unsolved Rubik's Cube? ;)
That is impressive. I hope they don't program the little sucker to kill.
Machines will always be able to do some things faster and with more accuracy than we can, but as long as we stay in charge of programimg them, i hope we will be safe!
Cube - Wow! That is one fast time for solving the Rubik Cube. For a human - that is.
I can't even solve it in any time.
I loved my Rubik's cube. I could not memorize the entire solution, but I did keep a tiny cheat sheet in my wallet and loved 'solving' cubes where ever I found them.
And the world needs that because???
Kid: Yeah, I hope they're programming them with Asimov's Laws of Robotics.
Messymimi: They're already programming robots to program other robots. Let's hope they read Asimov ;)
Sue Hanes: Yes, the human boy's time is also very impressive.
Granny Annie: The world doesn't need it the same way we don't need people climbing Mt. Everest, but yet they do. Maybe it's all about proving it can be done.
