Happy Pi Day

Monday after Daylight Savings time and Pi Day...

It should one heck of a day ;)

UPDATE: Today would have been Albert Einstein's 137th birthday. Now that should make your day easier.

This has something to do with something I was supposed to learn in math class, right?

Jan: Lol. Just a little something about the mathematical constant that depicts the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter... does that ring a bell? ;)

It's why you can't square a circle... anything coming back?

Since you brought it up, I will make a point of having a slice of pie for dessert tonight. Monday and 'pie day' is a good excuse. Naturally the pie is not perfect unless it is hot and topped with ice cream.

LL: Now you're talking pie in the sky.

Bye-Bye, Miss American Pie,
Drove my Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry,
And good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye,
Singing, "This will be the day that I die!...."

Or what do you get when divide the circumference of a jack-o-lantern by its diameter? Pumpkin pie.

Or pie in space... Star Trek's Wolf in the Fold.

Thanks for the grins! Unfortunately, we don't have any pie in the house, cake will have to do.

There once was a girl who loved pi
I never could quite fathom why
To her it's a wonder
To me just a number
Its beauty revealed by and by

The LAST obama PI day! I'll round down to that!

cube said...

LL: I am humbled by that last one ;)

cube said...

DaBlade: I'd rather round off before then.

Messymimi: I can live with that. I'm not a pie-rist... get it? Purist. I know, they can't all be gems and some not even close. Sorry.

LL: I do rather like the idea of 4 pi tied together... octopi. I know... I'm reaching.

Cube - I went to bed early on Saturday night so I didn't feel the loss of the hour.
I don't know about Pi day. Happy Birthday dear Albert.

I'm still trying to recoup from the time change. It really messes me up.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

Sue Hanes: I didn't feel it much either... just another sleep-deprived day for me. No news there.

As for Pi day, pi is a mathematical constant that depicts the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter and is abbreviated as 3.14, so the 14th day of the third month is called Pi Day.

And yes, Happy Birthday to Mr. Einstein. I'm glad he was born.

Sandee: Poor thing. It can be disruptive at first but it passes. My daughter loves the extra hour of daylight and so do I.
