Now in the Mac n Cheese Aisle at the store there must be 27 different varieties. There is white cheese, yellow cheese, cheese with siracha sauce, etc. I actually went there to get the original about 3 weeks ago and spent five minutes looking through the options. BUT I didn't know that they meddled with the original recipe.
I once spent an afternoon making Jan's Mac & Cheese with real cheese and milk, whole wheat macaroni, lovingly grated, mixed together and baked. My family preferred Kraft.
I lived on this stuff when I was young. You could get them on sale for 6 for a dollar. I could eat one each meal. Sometimes I went days and that was all I ate. It's tough being poor. That's some mighty good stuff.
messymimi: I love the fact that they're taking the artificial colors and flavors from cereal, too. The more the better. It's about they did because many have been asking for it for years.
Sue Hanes: My kids like the boxed Mac & Cheese where you add the milk and butter, whereas I prefer the one with the cheese packet is already cheese. In the end, I like it all, even when it's baked and topped with crumbs. It's all good.

Have a fabulous day. ☺
LL: It's all good.
Jan: I've been there and seriously it never pays off. Did I forget the commas? ;)
Sandee: Oh yeah, macaroni and cheese, potatoes and ramen noodles. That was college food for me.
They are also taking artificial colors out of some breakfast cereals. Great idea, i think.
Not a fan of box macaroni but give me a big bowl of mother's homemade mac and cheese any day. Only no one can make it like my mama did:-(
Cube - I have learned to like mac 'n cheese. Especially the cheesiest.
We are concerned about you. Everything ok?
Jan: Everthing is fine. Thanks for asking :)
Just too busy during the day and too exhausted at night.

Granny Annie: Sounds yummy. I know how you feel meals our moms made... sometimes the best we can do is come in second.
