Booze, Bribes And Propaganda: The Company That Promises 'Safe' Travel In North Korea
'Gareth Johnson Was Pretty Much Blind Drunk The Whole Time We Were In The Country,' Says One Tourist

I think you have to be a little crazy to visit a country like North Korea and you have to be a little dense if you don't realize that you are putting money in Dear Fat Leader's pocket when you do.

This is extremely disturbing.

I think that the people that visit North Korea are people that should. Thinning the herd so to speak. Just saying.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

I wonder if the Norks would like you better if you showed up in their barbaric country with a "Dear Leader" haircut?

I like Sandee's "thinning the herd" ...it explains a lot

Granny Annie: I can't imagine anyone wanting to visit this godforsaken hell hole. It is very disturbing that people actually buy into this. One is born every minute...

Sandee: I guess the extreme explorer gene is located right next to the really stupid idiot gene. DNA doesn't lie.

LL: Yes. A haircut or wearing a male romper of his image. Imagine what an ego boost that would be for a loon tune like Dear Fat Leader.

Jan: Yes, Sandee brings up a valid point.

what was this guy THINKING?

By the way, for anyone mildly interested in N Korea and what it's really like, there's an excellent novel called THE ORPHAN MASTER'S SON, which I PROMISE you will not find boring and it'll really clue you in on the atrocities of life in N Korea...
very special book

Messymimi: Me, too. There are way too many beautiful places in this world to visit so I can't fathom going to a hellhole like that.

Kid: I think he should be questioned about the services his company provides.

Z: I don't think this "entrepreneur" was doing a whole lot of thinking beyond making money. His company profited from selling tours to places 'where your mother wouldn't want you to go' and it's something that appeals to certain adventurous people.

I have noted your recommendation for my reading list. I'll look for The Orphan Master's Son.
