Five days away from the election, and with the leaking of a new terror tape vowing "streets full of blood in America", we need to remember the mistakes made by Spain after the Madrid bombings.
The populace, hoping to be spared more bloodshed, voted to appease the terrorists by voting for the socialist candidate who promised to pull out their troops in Iraq.
This wrong-headed nonsense brought them the contempt and ridicule of the free world, but didn't spare them the ire of the terrorists. A recent group of arrests revealed a plot to bomb the Spanish National Court that was investigating Islamic terrorist crimes.
Negotiation with and appeasement of terrorists will not work.
Negotiation with and appeasement of terrorists will only make you more vulnerable.
Now is not the time to elect a man who has been on the wrong side of every conflict this country has seen from Vietnam, the Gulf War,the Balkans, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and on the wrong side of every weapon system that would keep us safe.
Now is not the time to elect a man who will subvert the interests of America to those of greedy diplomats in the United Nations.
The war on terror is upon us. We must remain strong. We must remain resolute. Our very lives depend on it.
Vote for strong, steady leadership.
Bush.
