Everyone knows about Dan Rather's freakazoid past & his bias against the Bush administration. Yet he continues to sit in the anchor seat @ CBS News.
Everyone knows about ABC News Political Director Mark Halperin and the famous memo revealing his bias for all to see. How many know that Mark's father is Morton Halperin, the Senior Vice-President of the left-wing Center for American Progress (CAP) and Director of the Open Society Policy Center established by billionaire financier, George Soros?
Yes, this is the same Morton Halperin who has been a left-wing apparatchik since the 1960's when he advocated against the war in Vietnam, fought for unilateral U.S. nuclear disarmament whether the Soviets disarmed or not, was involved in several incidents of classified documents being leaked to The New York Times, namely the Pentagon papers & reports of U.S. bombing in Cambodia. In 1998, Morton Halperin became director of policy planning for the U.S. State Department. During his tenure, 15 State Department laptop computers, chockful of classified info, just disappeared
into the proverbial ether. Perhaps Sandy Berger can shed some light on the subject of multiple laptop purloinage, but that's another blog entry.
This is the environment in which little Mark grew into adulthood. Is it any wonder why he has such a hard time understanding a concept like a free, unbiased press and why he is unapologetic about helping the left at every opportunity?
I look back at events in the recent past and I can't help wondering about what else the main stream media has nudged along to aid their left-leaning agenda. How much information have they shaded or withheld over the years? How long have they been snowing us, all the while pretending to be fair?
