'Bye' The Book

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan waits for people to show up at her book signing near President Bush's Crawford Ranch.

I hope she got to have a little tofu turkey while she waited...

and waited...

I know. As far as her fame goes, it's 14:59:59.

Looks like they stayed away in droves...

Enough is enough. I think her son, Casey, would be embarrassed and saddened by her behavior. I can't imagine losing my son as she did. I also can't imagine making his service all about ME. If my son died fighting for our country, I would be sick with grief and so proud of his courage. It wouldn't be about ME.

What Jamie Dawn said!

And I HOPE you are right, cube, about the 14:59:59.

I do feel for her. Our family has a huge military history, and we all appreciate missing those who've died in the service of their country. I wouldn't wish losing a family member to war on anyone. But she's making a mockery of his service and his sacrifice.

totally off topic, sorry, i cant help it.

GAORS GATORS GATORS.

it is a good year to be a gator fan. it is an even better year to be a duck fan, regardless of the supremem ugliness of their uniforms!

Can the Ducks uniforms be worse than the early Bucs...Buccaneer Bruce helmets & neon orange? Yes, indeed they can be worse ;-)

Ah, how the expectations have fallen down there in Gator-land!

Ditto - exactly what Jamie Dawn said.

After the non-book signing event, she is STILL not mortified?

Her motives are so tainted that I can't even begin to fathom what is driving her behaviors. You'd at least hope that she now realises she's not the second-coming; she's not the leader of a revolution; she's not the world's conscious; she's just one very fucked up puppy - albeit, one that's becoming uncomfortably embarrasssing.

Sheehan is one tragic case of the 60's anti-war hippy mentality in arrested development.

Equating the war on terror with Vietnam is a huge mistake, but she can't fathom a war in which the survival of your way of life is at stake. The islamofascists wouldn't hesitate to separate her head from her neck in the blink of an eye, regardless of her position on the war.

Sadly, she just doesn't get it.
