X-treme Bias

A CNN switchboard operator was fired over the holiday -- after the operator claimed the 'X' placed over Vice President's Dick Cheney's face was "free speech!"

"We did it just to make a point. Tell them to stop lying, Bush and Cheney," the CNN operator said to a caller. "Bring our soldiers home."

The CNN switchboard operator ended the call with, "If you don't like it, don't watch."

Of course, Laurie Goldberg, Senior Vice President for Public Relations with CNN, said the operator's comments did not reflect the views of CNN.

Yeah, right.

I thought it was just a "technical glitch." There's no way a professional news channel would ever show such political bias.

And there really is a tooth fairy.

I like the switchboard operator's parting words: If you don't like it, don't watch. Sound's like a plan I've been following for a long time now.

If I do watch CNN, it's just for laughs.

Sounds like a plan most people have been following for a long time now.

I must admit, though, I really miss Aaron Brown. His Newsnight program could lull me into a deep sleep far better than any medication ever could.

They did WHAT?! That's absurd. I guess journalistic integrity and unbiased reporting are endangered species these days. :(

I've been saying it all along. If your only source for news is the MSM, you're not getting a fair & balanced report. It's painfully obvious.

I heard that that CNN employee was fired With Honors. This means you get fired with a pat on the back for a job well done.

Where can I write to roll my eyes at CNN? I don't think they've gotten any of my earlier eye rollings or frownings-upon-them...

i have gotten to where i dont even watch non-local news. i used to be really concerned with the political world, campaigning for guys i thought would represent me. even had the lawn signs proclaiming my support for whoever it was that year. frankly they are all a bunch of boogers, and the only problem i have with cnn's big x is that they havent used it on everyone! media bias is lousy. but honestly, all the news media is biased, it just depends on whether they are biased in your favor or not as to whether a person will whine about it or not.

Dak, you think it's bad now? When good people stand by & do nothing, then it gets even worse.

The difference between CNN and FOX is very simple. FOX will have on a liberal & a conservative to hash it out. CNN will show a liberal perspective on nearly every single issue under the sun. No counterpoint. That's a big difference.
